• Marketing Expenditure Account:  Your First Horizon Home Loans benefits package includes a personal Marketing Expenditure Account (MEA). This account works a lot like a Medical Spending or Dependent Care Account except that the company determines the amount that will be deposited into your account each year. A portion of your commissions will be deposited into the account on a pre-tax basis. This will save you money on taxes* when you pay for marketing-related materials and expenses like brochures, advertising space, premiums and mobile phones.

*Any marketing expenses you incur that are over and above your MEA balance must be paid using your taxable income. You may claim these expenses on your annual tax return.
